Welcome to Extended Care!

Welcome to the St. Frances Cabrini School Extended Care Program. Before and after-school care is available for the children enrolled in our school. The Extended Care Program was founded to provide students a loving, nurturing, and Christian-based after-school environment that is both stimulating and enjoyable. Our staff reinforces the high values of St. Frances Cabrini School and imparts these through example, respectful discipline, and enrichment activities. 

OVERVIEW 

The Extended Care Program follows the philosophy, mission, rules, and regulations stated in the St. Frances Cabrini School Parent-Teacher-Student Handbook. As members of a Christian and caring community, the students are expected to respect the staff, each other, and the materials and environment provided.  

The students are kept active and busy in a safe, pleasant atmosphere. They engage in a variety of activities that include vigorous play, creative activities, and indoor games. Students needing to complete homework may do so at their own pace. Outdoor play is a high priority for our program, weather permitting. The students also have snack time after school. We recommend a healthy snack to last them through the afternoon. 

Availability

Extended Care is available for St. Frances Cabrini School students in grades PreK through 8^th grade. 

The hours are: 

6:45 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. for PreK-8 

3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for PreK-8 

Extended Care begins on the first day of school and ends at dismissal time on the last day of school. It is not open on days when school is not in session. The school calendar and Schoolspeak will alert you to half days and any other changes. We limit the size of our groups, and therefore, if we have more applications than spaces available, placement will be on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Fee Schedule and Additional Information 

Note: All fees are per child. 
Registration Fee (non-refundable):  $20.00 per student
 
Extended Care Rate Options:  
• AM Care only:  
      * $8 per hour – per child 

       * $6.00/ per hour, per additional child. 
     • PM Care only:  
      * $8 per hour – per child  

      * $6.00/ per hour, per additional child. 

 
Drop-in rate for non-registered:  $10.00/per hour, per child, if your child is not registered. 

 
Late (after 6:00pm) additional charge:            $1.00/min/per child, as noted on Extended Care room clock 
 

Regular Use 
Registered users will be sent the monthly calendar form prior to the month in which Extended Care is needed. The calendar must be filled out with the days/hours needed for the month and returned to the school by the due date. Please be accurate to avoid extra charges. 
 
If you must change your schedule, please call at least one day ahead to schedule. By calling, you ensure there is space and that you will be charged the regular hourly rate, instead of the drop-in rate. Fees for such additional use will be added to the following month’s bill. 
 
Drop-in Use 
Drop in use is time spent by students who are not scheduled in advance by the monthly calendar or at least one day ahead. This includes students registered for Extended Care but not scheduled for that day and children who are not picked up within 15 minutes of dismissal. Drop-in fees are due when the student is picked up. 
 
NOTE: Extended care payments will be added to your regular monthly billing or can be paid annually.   

No credit or exchange will be given for time not used. 

NOTE: There is no Extended Care offered from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. 

Registration and Fees 

FEES 

Fees are set at the beginning of each year. We charge on a per-child basis, and your billing will depend on how many hours each child attends, and whether the attendance was pre-scheduled.  

REGISTRATION  

To register, the extended care application form is completed at the time of tuition registration. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $20 per child. If you are considering using extended care during the year, it is recommended that you register your child/children at the beginning of the school year. This way you will be in the system and able to use extended care as the need arises.  

Note: There is a section on the application that requires signatures by people who are authorized to act in your absence and/or pick up your child. It may take you a few days to get these signatures, but it is required.

Summer Program 

St. Frances Cabrini School is now offering a daily Summer Program for all Cabrini students.  

FEES 

Weekly rates help you plan around vacations! Fees are paid by the week, either half-day or full-day rates.

Half-Day rates are for students who attend 5 hours or less each day. Otherwise, full-day rates apply.

Full-day rates are based on $8.50/hour for 8 hours, but apply for all day (7am to 6pm)

Weeks are billed by the monthly session.

• Session 1 goes June 16th to June 27th $50 deposit is due June 4th (all deposits get applied to your tuition)
• Session 2 goes from June 30th to July 25th $50 deposit is due June 18th
• Session 3 goes from July 28th to August 15th $50 deposit is due July 16th
• (The Summer Program is closed during the week of August 18th so that teachers can prepare for the new school year.)

Half Day Rates

5 day week, under 5 hours = $215

Week of 6/16 & 6/30 under 5 hrs. = $170

Full Day Rates

5 day week, over 5 hours = $340

Week of 6/16 & 6/30 over 5 hrs. = $272

Sessions are monthly for billing purposes.

Parents will be billed on Finalsite.
