Welcome to the Library!

My name is Ruby Matillano. I am entering my 24th year in education and am honored to serve as the School Librarian and Technology Teacher. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guam and my Master of Education degree from Seattle University.

My goal is to empower every student to become a lifelong learner who uses books, technology, and information thoughtfully, creatively, and responsibly. I am passionate about fostering curiosity, critical thinking, digital citizenship, and a love of reading while helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

I grew up on the beautiful island of Guam, which helped shape my appreciation for culture, community, and lifelong learning. I am also the proud mother of a daughter who recently graduated from St. Frances Cabrini School.

When I am not at school, I enjoy traveling with my family, taking long road trips across the country, and exploring new places and cultures around the world. I am also an avid reader, and mystery novels are among my favorite genres.

I look forward to partnering with students and families to create meaningful learning experiences and inspire a lifelong love of reading, learning, and innovation.
